Minstrel Banjo players almost always had a tambourine player with them. More often than bones, fiddle, and guitar, the "Minstrel Tambourine" was the constant companion
to the Minstrel Banjo. These tambourines were quite different from today's tambourines in size and sound. The Bell Tambourine is modeled after illustrations of tambourines from
the 1800's. Hand hammered brass jingles and a solid hardwood hoop make this a great sounding, durable old style tambourine. It's a big 14 inches across. It comes with or without the handle.
Red was the popular color of the day but you can have it any color you like.
